Real-Time Bearing Temperature Analysis

The Nexus Surface Temperature Sensor (STS) provides precise temperature measurement with exceptional durability. It transmits real-time surface temperature data to Easylube® LINK, enabling continuous monitoring from anywhere and data-driven maintenance decisions.


Latest developments will soon see the STS connect with the Nexus Drive Unit to monitor equipment temperature. When the temperature exceeds the alert value, the STS automatically commands the Nexus lubricator to dispense grease, compensating for grease loss due to heat and preventing lubrication failure, ensuring stable operation.


As a key tool for industrial equipment preventive maintenance, the STS helps detect potential issues early. When the measured point temperature exceeds the alert value, it triggers an alarm, activates a warning light, and reports to LINK, ensuring temperature control to prevent equipment damage and production downtime.

The NEXUS STS features a three-color LED system that provides instant, at-a-glance status indication for both temperature and battery conditions — no app required for on-site checks.

Green
Normal

Temperature is within the safe operating range. Equipment is running normally. Battery level is sufficient.

Amber
Warning

Temperature is approaching the alert threshold. Attention required — schedule inspection or maintenance. Battery may be low.

Red
Critical

Temperature has exceeded the alert threshold. Immediate action required. Overheating protocol is automatically activated.


Overheating Detection & Response

When the NEXUS STS detects that the surface temperature has exceeded the alert threshold, it automatically triggers a multi-layered response protocol to protect your equipment.

  • Flashing red light warning — visible on-site alert on the STS unit
  • Alarm bell warning — audible alert for nearby personnel
  • Increased reporting frequency — more frequent temperature data transmission to LINK
  • Automatic reporting to Easylube® LINK — overheating event pushed to cloud/mobile platform, notifying all connected personnel
